Corinth Canal

The one-day excursion to Nafplio, will begin in Athens with the first stop being the Corinth Canal. The Corinthian Gulf connects with the Saronic Gulf.

Ancient Epidaurusm

The tour will continue to Ancient Epidaurus home to one of the most famous archeological monuments in Greece. During this stop, we will visit Asklepieion where the entirety of Ancient Greece went to receive medical care. Given this, many monuments were developed in the surrounding areas like the Temple of Asclepius, The Dome etc.

Nafplio

The day will continue in the romantic city of Nafplio. To ensure that we see all of what Nafplio has to offer, we will start our walk at the Gate of the Land, known to be the only entrance to the city during the Venetian rule. As we pass the place where the first governor of Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias, was assassinated we will end in Syntagma Square full of Venetian, neoclassical buildings. These buildings consist of the Parliament, the Archeological Museum etc.

Old Town

As we walk along the alleys of the old town, we will ascend to Akronafplia to enjoy the great view of the Acropolis of Nafplio. The walk will end at the port of the city, in front of Bourtzi, a famous Venetia fortress and landmark.

Mycenae Archeological Site

The end of the tour will be at the Mycenae archeological site. Within this site we will encounter the mythical kingdom of Agamemnon, where one of the most brilliant civilizations of Greek history developed. If you are an ancient history fan this stop includes seeing a multitude of famous monuments like The Lions’ Gate, entrance of the Palaces, the Cyclopean walls around the citadel, the Tombs of Atreus and Clytemnestra.
